Tips
In the
Neighbourhood
Welcome to the beautiful of Rotterdam! Rotterdam is a dynamic city, with a big history, beautiful new and old architecture and lots of enjoyable things to see and do.
For example we have an impressing new building The Depot Boijmans van Beuningen or The Markthal. Beside we have an impressive port, al lot of museums and festivals and trendy cafes and restaurants.
Hillegersberg
In the neighbourhood we also have a lot to see:
- Churches
- Parks
- Shops and cafes
- The lakes
- Rental boat service called “Geenbootwelvaren”
There are several things you can do in Rotterdam Hillegersberg with the kids or on your own. You can go to Plaswijckpark(Attraction park), or for some Disco bowling Dok99, visit the many rivers. Hillegersberg has a great shopping street called the Kleiweg or the Dorpstraat. Both streets have many places for dining in or out. Nearby we have a nice cafes like Abrazo and juffrouw van zanten, where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks.
When you are a guest of B&B Berglust, you can get here 10% discount of the food at Albrazo. You can get the coupon from me.
When my guests booked through me, they get a nice surprise: a complimentary glass of sparkling bubbles upon arrival!

Transport to & from B&B

Public transport to and from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
- Train to Rotterdam Central station, tram 4 to Molenlaan, tramstop ” C.N.A Looslaan, walking( head north cross over the road and enter Berglustlaan)
Public transport from B&B to the city
From the B&B you can easily and quickly take public transport to the center of Rotterdam.
When you walk out of the B&B, turn left and end of the street to the right to the street road. After a few meters you will come across the tram stop of tram 4.
Tram 4 takes you to Central Station and the center of Rotterdam, stop Eendrachtsplein.
If you want to explore the area better, you could also get off at the kleiweg first*. There are nice cafes / restaurants here for a delicious breakfast or a nice cup of coffee. You can also look around at various nice, surprising shops.
Bike rental
From the B&B there is a bike rental spot that I can recommend.
Take tram 4 from our B&B to central station( the stop is on the straatweg and 5 min. walk).
When your arrive at central station, it is 5 min. walk to ZwaanBikes.
(Walk to the large zebra crossing and turn right there. This is the Weena and Zwaansbike is on Weena 750).
Shared transportation
The only downside is that the bike rental mentioned above is not nearby. Nowadays, there are two HUB locations where you can rent various means of transportation, such as an electric bike, a cargo bike, or a scooter. Below, I’ll include the website. One is located at Burgemeester Le Fèvre de Montigny and the other near the large AH XL on Argonautenweg.
